Information

Conference venue location

The conference will be held in our conference center localized in Krakow at ul. Jeczmienna 9. We understand that this is a remote location and that is why a morning and afternoon bus transport between select hotels and the conference venue will be provided. Therefore, we recommend that you stay in the hotels listed. This is not a mandatory option but those staying at other places will be on their own to reach the conference venue.

Travel to Krakow

VISAS:

Nationals from a few countries may need visas to enter Poland for the purpose of attending the meeting. Requirements may be checked at Entering Poland website.

Krakow-Balice airport

This is the most convenient airport and we recommend it to our participants. There is a handful of ground transportation options to reach hotels.

  Taxi transport

Taxi is the easiest, though the most expensive option. Typical ride from the airport to the city center is approximately 50 PLN. It may be more expensive on weekends or during night time (10pm-6am). If you prefer this option, we recommend iCar, since they are relatively cheap and do not charge extra for weekends or nights (please check them at ICAR website since their policy may change at any time).

   Bus transport

Lines 208, 252 and 902 (night line) run frequently, but not necessarily to your hotels so you may be in need to catch a connecting bus or tram.
Ticket pricing can be found here.

For rides from/to the airport, please use the green panel in the table.

   Train service

All necessary information can be found at the airport's website.

There is also Warszawa-Okecie airport which is the biggest in Poland and air carriers may offer the cheapest airfares to this location. The ground transportation includes a train or bus transport to/from Krakow.

Train service requires a local train to the Central Railway Station (SKM S3) followed by an intercity connection to Krakow.

Bus tickets can be booked on the following websites.  Get Trans   LUX EXPRESS

Another option would be to arrive at Katowice-Pyrzowice airport. For this airport, there is a dedicated shuttle to/from Krakow.

The shuttle can be booked on the following websites: Matuszek   Pyrzowice Ekspres

Accommodation

Please be advised that July is a peak-season in Krakow and many hotels are fully booked promptly. In addition, closer to downtown you stay, more expensive it usually is. We did our best to make deals with a few hotels, which are the closest to the conference venue, and still close enough to the public transport to reach downtown at any time. Making deals for July is a bit tough, some of the hotels are already overbooked. Please be aware that the regular prices change on a daily basis, so it may happen that on-line special offers can bring them below our deals.
